We are not tied to political, economic, or corporate interests, but we are committed to critical and properly contextualized analysis of the topics we address.
Ethics
We are committed to combating misinformation and climate denial, ensuring free access to essential content, and promoting equity by giving a voice to marginalized groups.
Funding
We are funded by our readers, as well as through ethical grants and partnerships. We reject funding from companies or entities whose activities conflict with the principles of climate and social justice.
Who we are
A project driven by collective imagination
Ulmeiro was born from the urgency of addressing the climate and social crises with critical thinking, ethical commitment, and political imagination.
It is a project built through the collaboration of people from diverse backgrounds — from journalism to design, from activism to scientific research — working together to propose alternatives that challenge the dominant economic model based on infinite growth.
Ulmeiro emerged in 2025 as an autonomous editorial space, where political ecology and climate justice are at the center of multidisciplinary reflection and action. Here, we aim to contribute to the construction of possible futures: more just, livable, and regenerative.
